A nice coffee shop or other casual environment. I am pretty mellow and don't have expectations of first meetings. Now if we hit it off the next date I would want something more.
I like to keep it simple. Yogurt or coffee, even breakfast is ok. If the interest is mutual we can always plan from there. Simple is better in case we both need to make a quick exit. =)
My favorite first date is good conversation and coffee! I think that going to a movie on the first date is SO impersonal. The first date is when you should be taking the time to get to know one another.
